Rebecca M. Permar, PhD
FounderWith a PhD and postdoctoral background in medical humanities and character education as well as a certification as Stress and Burnout Coach, I provide the ink that helps programs and people flourish. My work offers a dedicated space for tending the gardens of reflection and creativity, allowing you to navigate stress and reclaim professional joy.
My perspective is shaped by the privilege of studying and living across Germany (University of Paderborn and Bonn), South Korea (Yonsei University), Scotland (University of St Andrews), and the US (UTMB and Wake Forest University), where I created homes and meaningful friendships that continue to make me a better person. This has instilled in me a deep commitment to cultural humility and cross-cultural solidarity. I bring this spirit to my work with teams, centering peer support as a vital foundation against burnout and moral injury. I believe that you do not have to carry the weight of your work alone, instead we can foster mutual support and collective reflection together.
Whether I am teaching the ethics of emerging technologies or coaching a first responder through moral injury, my approach is the same: I provide the space and the tools for you to rediscover your purpose and author your own flourishing.
